A story from CA
My wife and I have dedicated nearly a decade to building our lives in the U.S., earning master’s degrees and contributing to higher education in California. We were finally looking forward to stability, especially with our first child due in late summer. The indefinite hold on our immigration case due to USCIS Policy Memoranda PM-602-0194 has shattered this hope. My wife's EAD is expiring in two weeks, putting her job at risk, and our I-485 remains frozen. What should be a joyous time preparing for our baby boy has become a period of intense fear and anxiety. We are law-abiding residents, contributing to our community, and we simply ask for fairness and the ability to continue our lives here without this devastating uncertainty. We are spending precious months worrying about our jobs and future instead of preparing for our son’s arrival.
