Terms of Service
Last updated: May 29, 2026
The short version
This is a free tool to help you contact your US senators and House representative about the USCIS pause on Iranian-national applications. Use it for that purpose, don’t abuse it, and be aware we’re not your lawyers. By using the site you agree to the terms below.
Who’s behind this
The tool is operated by SilverGrid Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). Contact: info@silvergridtech.com.
What the service does
We provide a guided flow that (a) looks up your senators and House representative from your address, (b) helps you draft a personal email and a personal story using an AI assistant, and (c) opens your email app or your representative’s contact form so you can send the email yourself. Optionally, you can publish an anonymized version of your story on our public stories page.
How you can use it
- Use the tool for sincere civic communication.
- Provide accurate information about yourself.
- Don’t use the tool to send harassment, threats, hate speech, or anything illegal to a representative.
- Don’t try to bypass the bot protection, scrape our endpoints, or send automated traffic.
- Don’t impersonate someone else or pretend to be a constituent of a district you don’t live in.
If we see abuse, we’ll rate-limit or block the abusive client. Persistent abuse may be reported to upstream providers.
Your story, when you choose to share
When you opt in to publish an anonymized version of your story, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and link to the anonymized text on the public stories page. You keep the rights to the original story. We may remove, re-moderate, or take down stories at our discretion — for example if they’re reported, contain personal information that slipped past anonymization, or violate these terms.
You can ask us to remove your published story at any time by emailing info@silvergridtech.com. Once we delete it from Firestore we have no copy to restore.
Important: this is not legal advice
The AI-drafted emails and the policy summaries on this site are informational only. They are not legal advice, immigration advice, or representations from a licensed attorney. If you need legal help, please talk to an immigration attorney. We are not lawyers and we do not represent you.
AI-generated content
The story and email drafts are produced by a large language model (Google Gemini, via Vertex AI). Models can make mistakes — they may misstate facts, omit important context, or use language you wouldn’t. You are responsible for reviewing and editing the draft before you send it. The send action is yours: we open your email app, you click Send.
Third-party services
The tool uses Google Cloud (Firebase Hosting, Firestore, Vertex AI, Places, reCAPTCHA Enterprise) and the US Census Geocoder. Those providers have their own terms and may have outages, errors, or changes that affect the tool. We are not responsible for their conduct.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it’s error-free, available without interruption, secure, or that the AI-drafted content will achieve any particular result. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent allowed by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SilverGrid Technologies LLC, its members, and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the tool, including (but not limited to) loss of immigration status, denial of a benefit, or any interaction with a government office. Our total liability for any claim related to the tool is capped at US $100.
Indemnification
If your use of the service (for example, content you submit) causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to defend and indemnify SilverGrid Technologies LLC for that claim.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from the service must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that venue.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after the update means you accept the new terms.
